Pargeting is a traditional English craft that is particularly prevalent throughout East Anglia. Sadly, it's perhaps a less common craft than it once was. Pargeting is the provision of decorative designs to a façade using lime plaster and was first introduced by Henry VIII. The brief for the Emmerson Critchley Ltd team in this case was to showcase the story of the property and the results are wonderful.
Another recent project completed by the Emmerson Critchley Ltd team: restoring this lovely timber framed period house. The project included: timber frame repairs, applying lime render, changing the fascias, soffits and guttering and solving a problem with water ingress.
