Bury’s inaugural period homes event

//Bury’s inaugural period homes event

The team at Emmerson Critchley Ltd is pleased to be supporting and taking part in the first ever period homes event at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday 20th August. Emmerson Critchley Ltd will showcase the skills offered by the firm not only with an exhibition stand but also by bringing a miniature traditionally constructed property to the event, which will be placed outside the front of The Apex on the day.

The event, which offers free entry, will showcase many exhibitors offering services for period properties. About the event, Emmerson Critchley says: “It’s excellent to have a forum to celebrate period properties and all the skills that helps maintain the incredible historic and Listed properties we’re fortunate enough to have in this area. As a specialist traditional builder with specific expertise in renovating, extending and maintaining period, Listed and heritage properties, we hope this event will provide an excellent opportunity to share our knowledge and showcase our skills. People are always keen to put queries to the Emmerson Critchley Ltd team about how best to care for period properties but there are also no shortage of questions about successfully achieving a truly sympathetic renovation or extension, not just in terms of the finished look of the project but also in the sense of utilising the most appropriate materials and building techniques to ensure longevity. We look forward to discussing these sorts of issues on the day…”

In relation to what Emmerson Critchley Ltd will bring to the show, Emmerson explains: “Perhaps the most visually remarkable aspect of what Emmerson Critchley Ltd is bringing to the event, is a miniature period property – an outhouse – that will sit to the front of The Apex and showcase all the skills our team has to offer. We also hope to provide further demonstrations of the traditional building techniques we employ on a daily basis when renovating, extending and maintaining period, Listed and heritage properties.”
