Emmerson Critchley Ltd provides support with one off renovations or repairs to modern, period  and Listed properties – including timber frame and clay lump buildings, right through to complete project and contract management that embraces every aspect of the build or extension in hand. From the undertaking of conservation meetings and liaison with planning departments, through to the
delivery of the final result – every part of the process is taken care of so all the client has to do is witness and enjoy the progress.

Addressing damp, installation of French drains and dealing with any other problems associated with period properties  are everyday activities for the Emmerson Critchley team. Traditional haired chalk lime rendering, lime wash, limecrete flooring, thatching, pargeting, using long-established wattle and daub techniques, completing full restoration projects, undertaking cellar and loft conversions, extensions, as well as tasks requiring joinery, traditional plastering and other trade skills – just name it and Emmerson Critchley Ltd can deliver and to the highest standard.

On-site, the Emmerson Critchley team is clean and tidy. Clients can also rest assured that health and safety is taken extremely seriously with procedures and protocols in place in line with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines. Furthermore, Emmerson Critchley Ltd. is fully insured (with AXA) with full coverage in terms of Third Party Liability Insurance and Employer’s Liability Insurance. Furthermore, the Emmerson Critchley team is very comfortable working with the JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) standard forms of contract. The purpose of the contracts are very succinctly set out by the JCT as follows: “In simple terms, contracts set out the responsibilities of all parties within the construction process and their obligations, so it is clear as to what work needs to be done, who is doing it, when are they doing it by, and for how much.”
